THOMAS GEORGE ARTIST
My name is Thomas George Odera, born to a Kenyan father and a Tanzanian mother in the year 1995 on the 9th of November. I come from a big Christian family. I am a Bachelor of Science degree holder, and worked for a pharmaceutical company for three years before I quit to pursue my passion for art, praying it would better me, my family and the world around me. I have always believed there are so many things art can offer that nothing else can. Topmost being cohesiveness, followed by tranquility in chaos, and also imagination being brought to life in an instant. By cohesiveness I mean for instance how you can center a baby, a lion and a city in a canvas to communicate love, or even a president eating side by side with an orphan to communicate lack of social supremacy.
By tranquility in the middle of chaos I mean the peace that a landscape art depicts despite global warming, or how a baby sleeps in peace and silence as the world around it burns in flames.
By imagination, I mean making my peasant grandfather who died 16 years ago, wear royal robes and sit in an expensive mansion. All these things and more represent what art can do that nothing else can. I always had art in my heart and this is why I couldn't do anything else but strive to keep the joy I had when I first held a brush in my hands.

CLEAN DARK GLOW
This piece showing a beautiful woman in her early twenties close to a leafy fence under daylight sun was painted for a cumulative 200 hours, hence most important details that bring realism have been put down on canvas(106.2 by 72.6 cm). It's inspired by the fact that ladies of African descent are as beautiful as beauty can be defined. Also, it represents the fact that Black Lives Matter, because in Black Lives, there's also beauty.

Beautiful EYES
Am not a good photographer, but hopefully this lens shows you some brushwork. This is a 60 by 55.5 cm canvas, painted within 91hrs of dedicated sharpness, and in tribute to the old masters' combined skills. Have you ever realized that in art history of the renaissance age, academic and neoclassic ages, there are very few African art representations? I am out to bring the African story to the books in oil paints and realism in its full manifest. The African story that has missed out in History for generations must be told. My art will let you see History from an African's perspective.
